Zhejiang Chinese Medical University

Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU) is located in the city of Hangzhou in east coast China. As a teaching and research-oriented university with Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Chinese Materia Medica as its leading subjects, it is under the co-construction of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
Founded in 1959, the university has now 3 campuses with 17 schools, 4 directly-affiliated hospitals and another 21 teaching hospitals located in different cities in Zhejiang Province， offering  18 doctorate, 52 master and 32 bachelor programs covering the disciplines from medicine, science, engineering, administration to liberal arts. So far there are over 22,000 full-time students in ZCMU, including 4,700+ postgraduates and over 1000 international students. Its Clinical Medicine, pharmacology and toxicology have been included in the top 1% of global ESI ranking. It has 2 national clinical research bases of TCM, won 5 National Awards in Sci-tech Progress and Technological Invention, and 11 Provincial Sci-tech first prizes. and hosts two academic journals, Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and Zhejiang Clinical Medicine. 
ZCMU began its international education and cooperation in1984, and has established cooperative relationships with more than 120 educational, scientific institutes over 40 countries and regions and 2 Confucius Institutes at Coimbra University, Portugal and University of the Western Cape, South Africa as well as TCM centers in Romania, Israel, Republic of Belarus and New Zealand.
