Ecology & Spirituality – Volunteer Program in Divinya, Sweden

A 3 to 12-month experiential educational program 

Welcome to Divinya’s living & learning program ‘Ecology & Spirituality’ - The Path of the Sustainable Yogi, offering profound learning opportunities for transformative life changes.

The aim of this residential program is to provide a nurturing ground for personal transformation, to find one’s passion and purpose in this life and to learn skills and gain wisdom to create the world in which one wants to live. 

In Divinya we see that a transition of society to an ecological way of living requires the inner transformation of every individual, and of the way we understand ourselves and the world. Participating in this program is an opportunity to acquire a deeper understanding of life, and find key answers in the quest for a sustainable future for all. It is an invitation to explore a deep connection with oneself and a harmonious co-existence between humans and nature.

Divinya is a spiritual center and home to a living and learning community. The areas of ‘ecology’ and ‘spirituality’ are understood in a broad and holistic way. Here, the fields of eco-spirituality, yoga as a way of living, community life and the topics of humanology, ecology and cosmology, are holistically explored within the depth of a practical living experience. In essence, it is an invitation to delve into the connections between body, mind, soul and soil.

During their time in Divinya, participants are fully integrated into the daily community living and various projects. The days are filled with karma yoga and practical engagements in a wide range of areas, from ecological farming, eco-building, natural healing, educational activities, forest and park management, landscaping, nature conservation, cooking & food preservation, production of clothing & other products, to documentary film making, book and music production, photography, graphic design and many more.

Being part of the community life means learning through living, understanding through experiencing and growing through participating.

The ‘Ecology & Spirituality’ program invites one to explore how spirituality can be brought into a practical living experience – a living spirituality. Divinya is a space for inner growth and self-transformation, a space to explore the fundamental questions of life: “Who am I – without my cultural and social identities, without my stories from the past?”, “What is my highest potential?”, “What is the meaning of life?” and “How can I bring union between me and this life?” These questions are inquired on an individual as well as on a collective level, in order to find answers for a new paradigm of living life on this planet.

The ultimate purpose of life in Divinya is fostering inner growth and transformation. Staying in Divinya for an extended period of time can be a life-changing experience, allowing one to embark on an inner journey, widening one’s perspective, and giving rise to a new perception of life.

Divinya - Center for Evolutionary Consciousness 

Located in the south of Sweden, Divinya – Center for Evolutionary Consciousness, offers experiential education, retreats and festivals in the fields of ecology, yoga, meditation, spirituality, cosmology and inner growth. It is a natural sanctuary of innovative learning, open for people who wish to explore the true potential and deeper meaning of life.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Time frame:The ongoing program can be joined at the beginning of every month. You can attend for a duration of 3 to 12 months.

Cost: This is a fully sponsored volunteer program free of cost, which includes basic needs such as food and accommodation. Participants take care of a valid visa (if needed), health insurance and their travel costs.

Note: We are a strictly drug-free, alcohol-free and non-smoking community.
