University of Strathclyde

The University of Strathclyde is a Leading International Technological University with over 200 years history, founded in 1796. Offering over 450 programmes in Business, Engineering, Science, Humanities and Social Science, we are one of the largest Universities in Scotland with 30,000 students. We are ranked 11th in the UK (2026), with over 40 subject areas ranked in the UK top 20, and are proud of our many famous alumni, including John Logie Baird the inventor of Television. Our Business School is the top Business School in Scotland and one of the largest and oldest Business Schools in Europe. It was the first Business School in Scotland to achieve triple accreditation from the three main Business School accreditation bodies – AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS. Only 1% of the world's Business Schools hold this status. 

Our Engineering Faculty is the Largest in Scotland and one of the largest in Europe. Strong links with Industry is one of our key strengths, allowing great opportunities for industry projects and placements as part of your degree. 

Our HaSS faculty has a top ranked Law School and is Scotland’s largest provider of Teacher Education. All students in the Faculty are able to undertake a work placement class. 

Our Science Faculty is home to a top Pharmacy School. Both Pharmacy and Forensic Science being ranked 1st in the UK. 

Our campus, which will have seen 1 billion pounds of investment by 2025, is located in the centre of the City of Glasgow, the UK’s 4th largest city, and the “Worlds Friendliest City” (Rough Guide).
